RouteCheetah provides route planning, dispatch, and proof-of-delivery software to independent drivers and delivery businesses ("customers"). This policy explains what information we handle and why.

## Two kinds of information

**Account information** is about the people who use RouteCheetah: owners, dispatchers, drivers, and customers' clients who place orders. We are responsible for this information.

**Delivery information** is what customers put into RouteCheetah to run their business, such as recipient names, addresses, phone numbers, delivery notes, signatures, and photos. We process it on the customer's behalf and following their instructions. The customer decides what to collect and is responsible for having the right to do so.

## What we collect

- **Account details:** name, email, phone number, password (stored only as a salted hash), and the organizations and roles you belong to.
- **Delivery records:** orders, stops, routes, status changes with times, and proof of delivery (recipient name, relationship, signature image, photos, notes, and where the proof was captured).
- **Driver location:** GPS position from the driver app _only while a route is in progress_, used to show the route to dispatch, calculate ETAs, and show a recipient where their delivery is. Location sharing stops when the route ends or the driver signs out.
- **Device information:** push notification tokens and basic technical data (device type, app version, IP address) needed to operate and secure the service.
- **Billing:** subscription details. Card data is collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe; we never see full card numbers.

## How we use it

- To provide the service: plan and optimize routes, dispatch drivers, send notifications, produce reports.
- To send messages customers turn on, such as texts or emails telling a recipient their delivery is on the way.
- To secure accounts, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
- To bill for subscriptions and communicate about your account.

We do not sell personal information and do not use delivery information for advertising.

## Who we share it with

We use service providers who process information for us under contract: cloud hosting and storage, Stripe for payments, map and address lookup providers, and email, text-message, and push notification services. We may disclose information when the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of people and the service.

## Retention

Account and delivery information is kept while the customer's account is active and deleted or anonymized after the account is closed, except where we must keep records for legal, tax, or dispute reasons. Account owners can ask us to delete specific records. Detailed driver location history is deleted automatically after 90 days.

## Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Each organization's data is isolated at the database level, access is limited by role, and proof-of-delivery files are served only through short-lived signed links.

## Your choices and rights

You can view and update your account details in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. For delivery information, contact the business that delivered to you; we will help them respond. Recipients can reply STOP to any delivery text to stop receiving texts.

## Children

RouteCheetah is a business service and is not directed to children under 16.

## Changes

We will post updates here and, for significant changes, notify account owners by email.
